Think about who you may want to interview and consider 5 questions you may want. Your actual interview will likely have more questions than that, but this is just to get you thinking. They are just a guide, but your interview is a conversation not a series of questions. Richard Harrison has a course on Lynda.com on interviewing for podcasts you may find helpful. Here are some tips.
- Put your subject at ease by letting them know what the interview is for and what you are hoping to accomplish.
- Assure your subject that things can be edited out or you can stop and restart.
- Understand their interests (at least try to).
- Ask open ended questions.
- Don't rush or interrupt answers unless you have to.
- Ask follow up questions based on the responses you get rather than based on the question list you have. You never know where the interview will lead you.
